Why You Should Secure Your Email?

Normal email is fast and easy but the information on it is sent on it is unencrypted. This is like sending a postcard without an envelope, the postman, or anyone who find it along the way can read what is written on it. The popularity of email also makes it less secure. Emails will traverse several networks and possible several counties before arriving at the recipient’s inbox. Even if both the sender and recipient have encrypted mail servers, you still have no idea who has seen it in the meantime as it was not encrypted while in transit. This means that anyone could have read or even altered the contents of the email. Many governments (including the UK and US) scrape all the data from unencrypted emails as standard. Email will also occasionally disappear in transit, perhaps due to a faulty server it has traversed through on its way.
